Steve Shook, Executive Director
Hello, I am the Executive Director of Instructional Technology for
USD 259. I began my teaching career in the Wichita Public Schools as a
Technology Education instructor at Heights High School in 1986. After ten
years as a classroom teacher I began serving the students and staff as
an assistant principal at East High, where I worked for five years. Most
recently, I performed the same role at West High. In 2001, my family and
I traveled to Papua New Guinea, where my wife and I taught at an international
school for the children of missionaries for two years.
I have lived nearly all my life in the Wichita area, received my B.A. in Industrial Education and my administrative certification from Wichita State and a M.S. in Educational Psychology from Baylor University.
My wife Rhonda is an elementary teacher in the Wichita Public Schools. We have two children, Allie and Evan. As a family we enjoy travel, sports, music and involvement in our church.
I am looking forward to many years of serving the students and staff of USD 259 and working with a fine team of technology experts as the director of this department.
I can be reached at sshook@usd259.net.
