Marcia Jeans, M.Ed
This is my 5th year as an Instructional Technology Specialist with the Wichita Public School District.
My passion is working with teachers and principals on effective teaching and learning through instructional technology. I am a former elementary classroom teacher, Title 1 resource teacher, instructional coach and site technology specialist and bring these experiences with me in my current job.
I am a LoTi (Levels of Technology Integration) certified trainer, a SMART Exemplary Educator, a Palm Education Technology Coordinator, SchoolNet Certified Trainer, and a Discovery Education Network member.
I hold a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Newman University and M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Technology from Wichita State University. I currently teach several technology integration courses at Baker University.
My wonderful husband, Richard and I have a daughter, Alysha,
who is a sophomore at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I have safely survived the first year of being an empty nester. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family,
gardening, and going to movies. My husband and I have even started dance lessons! I am an avid traveler and love to visit exotic locations. Last year I visited Thailand and Italy and this upcoming year I am
planning trips to Peru and China.
