Kim Davis - Executive Director
I began my teaching career in the Wichita Public Schools as a Business and Computer Studies teacher at South High School in 1987. After ten years as a classroom teacher I began a “downtown” assignment as Business and Computer Studies Curriculum, Tech Prep and School to Work Coordinator. A natural move for me then was to help in the creation of alternative sites at the Towne East Education Resource Center and the Towne West Education Resource Center where I served as coordinator for 6 years. I was then asked to facilitate the solution for the district warehousing of student data which lead the district to the adoption of SchoolNet as a student data and curriculum management solution as well as the implementation of NWEA MAP assessment. I will continue these responsibilities with the help of the data coaches, assessment leaders and learning coaches.
I graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Technical Journalism and a minor in business. I have a second bachelor (BA this time) from Wichita State in Business Education and Computer Studies. I earned a master’s in Curriculum and School Leadership from Newman.
My hobbies are golf, quilting and reading. I love all sports especially soccer and college basketball.
I am looking forward to serving the students and staff of USD 259.
