What is LoTi?
The Loti Framework was developed in 1994 by Dr. Christopher Moersch and was designed to accurately measure authentic classroom technology use. LoTi focuses on the use of technology as a tool within the context of student-centered instruction with an emphasis on higher order thinking.
LoTi is a valuable resource for the development of district- and building-level technology plans. Districts can more efficiently maximize professional development and plan for curriculum initiatives through assessment of current technology use in the classroom.
Teachers can use the LoTi framework when creating lessons and reflect on their current instructional technology practices in the classroom.
