K-5 Elementary Schedules

We strongly encourage you to utilize these templates. However if they do not meet your needs please feel free to develop your own schedule but be sure it supports: Uninterrupted Reading and Math blocks; Tier 2 Intervention times (30 minutes daily for each); At least a 1/2 day Monthly PLC time; Weekly Team collaboration; Special Ed Services in the LRE; ESOL Services.

Library/other positions still come from your building teacher allocations. The library/other allocation shown on the templates is the minimum amount needed for instructional classes and PLC. In most cases it does not include the time necessary for library administration, intervention support, etc. so you are encouraged to continue with full time library positions to provide a high quality library program.

The use of substitutes to "cover" PLC time for classroom teachers is not part of our plans for next year. You are expected to use the allocated Art, Music, PE, and/or Library time as a way to free up teachers for the 1/2 day of PLC time per month.
